After 35 years in the photography industry and 15 in wedding photography ,I feel like I  instinctively know when to step forward and take the lead, or step back and let a moment happen. But, capturing effortlessly editorial images actually takes a tremendous amount of effort and advance planning on both the photographer and the couples part.

Meeting couples that want to put in that effort is amazing. After my move from Denver, I was worried. How am I going to rebuild the types of relationships I had in Colorado here in Michigan.

This body of work tells me I have nothing to worry about. Every wedding I captured this year was so much fun and everyone from the couples, the families, to the guests was on board for the journey of creating bold, cinematic, moment driven images.
